Michelle is a very talented instructor and trainer. She is patient and supportive, her horsemanship brings out the best in both the horse and rider. Michelle restarted my 12 yr old mare, Charm, while working with me, helping me through my fear and anxiety. We came to her with worry, not knowing if we would continue on our horsemanship path together. With Michelle's help and encouragement we have grown independently while building trust and a partnership. Charm and I are now moving forward with confidence and having fun! Working with Michelle has opened my eyes to what my horse has been trying so hard to tell me for so long! Michelle's training techniques allow soft communication between horse and rider, and she establishes trust with the horse that can carry over into potentially dangerous situations so that the horse looks to their rider for guidance. In the fall of 2012, Michelle Edwards came to work with my horse, Tripp, and myself. Tripp was nervous about many things; principally he would not go on a trail walk by himself. He also had issues coming in from the pasture quietly.
Michelle has amazing skills with horses. She was able to communicate with Tripp from the first time she worked with us, and she was able to show me how to communicate with him as well. In the few months Michelle worked with us, Tripp is calmer and easier to be around.
I was very impressed with her ability to read the horse's thoughts. I appreciated so much her soft voice and calm manner in working with Tripp.
